This world is full of elements which can distract us from Allah. Like TV and Mobile phones. If minimize use of time consuming activities we can make more time to indulge in activites which are discussed above to develope love for Allah.
Allah, Most Gracious, says,
“Truly there is a reminder in this for anyone who has a heart, or who listens attentively with presence of mind.” (1)
At number of occasions in Quran the importance of learning Quran is mentioned. Quran itself invites believers to learn Quran. Learning Quran is not just reading. It involves thoughtful study of divine messages and instruction for humanity in Quran, which are sent by Allah for welfare of humans. Its matter of death and life for Muslim Quran says:
“it is simply a reminder and a clear Qur’an so that you may warn those who are truly alive” (2)
Not to learn Quran is no option for Muslim. Allah has made Quran a responsibility for Muslims. Allah say in Quran:
“ Had We sent down this Quran on a mountain, you would surely have seen it humbling itself and rending asunder by the fear of Allah. Such are the parables which We put forward to mankind that they may reflect. “ (3)
The Glorious Quran is the fountain head of all learning. This is the basic source to get knowledge about anything. It has most authentic and most accurate knowledge about the Islam, faith, society, ethics, nature and so, Quran is the ultimate source. Believers who recite, learn and impart teachings of Quran are noble in sight of Allah and He promised gracious, honorable and lofty reward for those who learn Quran.
““The best amongst you is he who learns the Quran and teaches it.” From this saying of Prophet Mohamed Peace be upon him it is obvious that its obligatory for each Muslim to teach and learn Quran. The Prophet Himself was a preacher of Quran and his noble companions were learner. Quran brought a revolution in the lives of His noble companions and they became the best Muslims of this ummah due to their best teacher and best understanding of Quran. Now we are not able to get grace of Prophet Mohamed Peace be upon him directly, so only mean of guidance for today’s Muslims is Quran.
“O people I am leaving behind among you the Holy Book (Quran) and the Sunnah (way of Prophet (SAW)), if you follow these in letter and spirit you will never be strayed.”(5)
Don’t be worry if you’re not good in reading Quran. Start learning Quran today. By grace of Allah Quran Learning has made more easy through Online learning sessions and courses. Allah will help you completing Quran and there is double reward for for those who are eager to learn Quran as one HAdith states
Verily the one who recites the Qur’an beautifully, smoothly, and precisely, he will be in the company of the noble and obedient angels. And as for the one who recites with difficulty, stammering or stumbling through its verses, then he will have TWICE that reward.” (6)
So, from Quran and Hadith it can be inferenced that the need of time is to learn Quran, practice its teachings in our life and conveying its message to others. This will help us to live a guided and blessed life and it will guarantee the success here after.
[Quran Al-Baqarah 2:2]
Quran was revealed for human beings to make their life smooth and . Allah Almighty has promised great rewards and vritues for reading and following Quran
“Had We sent down this Quran on a mountain, you would surely have seen it humbling itself and rending asunder by the fear of Allah. Such are the parables which We put forward to mankind that they may reflect.”
[Quran Al-Hashr 59:21]
In Quran and hadith countless rewards are promised for those who learn Quran and practice the teachings of Quran. Each word of Quran adds 10 virtues in your account. In different Hadiths the virtues of glorious Quran are discussed:
An authentic hadith in At-Tirmithee states:
“Whoever reads a letter from the Book of Allah, he will have a reward. And that reward will be multiplied by ten. I am not saying that “Alif, Laam, Meem” is a letter, rather I am saying that “Alif” is a letter, “laam” is a letter and “meem” is a letter.” So increase your recitation of the Qur’an to gain these merits, and to gain the following merit as well.”
When beginners start to learn Quran they are not fluent and smooth with Quran reading, because they are not well versed in Arabic language. But there is double reward for their effort to learn Quran. A hadith related by Ayesha Siddiqah states:
Verily the one who recites the Qur’an beautifully, smoothly, and precisely, he will be in the company of the noble and obedient angels. And as for the one who recites with difficulty, stammering or stumbling through its verses, then he will have TWICE that reward.”
[Al-Bukhari and Muslim]
One of the countless benefits of Quran reading is that Quran will be given permission to intercede on day of judgment and it will be intercessor for its readers. Allah raises the status of Muslim by Quran in this world and hereafter. The more recitating, learning and practicing
Quran leads to higher status of Muslim. Those who learn Quran are also blessed with peace and happiness in their life and their prosperity and welfare is promoted by blessings of Allah. Many of their worries and regrets are often dispelled through blessing of Quran.
“Those who believe [in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism], and whose hearts find rest in the remembrance of Allah, verily, in the remembrance of f Allah do hearts find rest”.
(Qur ‘an 13: 28)
Education is process , system or method through which something is instilled in human being. Human being which is recipient of education is also known as “rational animal”. Man needs education to perform his duties and responsibilities. The Islamic concept of education is not
based on acquiring skills for earning. Islam emphasizes on education that is beneficial for a person and society as a whole. According to Islam there are two basic types of education.
Religious knowledge refers to information about instructions and guidelines from Allah Almighty that how a person should live and behave in his life. Secular education is for day to day dwelling. The specialty of Islam is that the first revelation of Holy Quran was about learning.
“Read and your Lord is Most Honorable, who taught (to write) with the pen, who taught man what he knew not.”
Islam made education obligatory for each and every male and female Muslim to learn and acquire knowledge. In Islam education is demarcation of one’s status as Quran Says
“Are those equal, those who know and those who do not know?” (Al-Zumr, ayah 9)
And on another place it states:
“Allah grants wisdom to whom He pleases and to whom wisdom is granted indeed he receives an overflowing benefit.”
(Al-Baqarah, ayah 269)
With out education one can not perceive the message and commandants of Allah. With little knowledge we are prone of being betrayed from right path. The danger of ignorance is that a person can not differentiate between right and wrong and he can be easily a victim of Satan.
He is at risk of losing most invaluable gift of his life that is “Iman”. A life of educated person is enlightened and he can clearly identify and follow the right path .
Acquiring knowledge is crucial act in Islam. In Quran Allah Almighty invites human to investigate and ponder the creation of Universe. Allah asks people to travel on then planet to gain knowledge and travelling in path of seeking knowledge is worship in Islam. Knowledge acquired by struggle leads person closer to Allah Almighty and jannah. Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon Him) Said:
“One who treads a path in search of knowledge has his path to Paradise made easy by God…”
(Riyaz us-Saleheen, 245)
Education is not only about learning, we must pass and deliver the gained knowledge to others so that they can also get benefitted from merits education. Islam asks followers to learn Quran and teach it to others. This hadith is about reward of teaching beneficial knowledge to others.
“God, His angels and all those in Heavens and on Earth, even ants in their hills and fish in the water, calls down blessings on those who instruct others in beneficial knowledge.”
(Tirmidhi, Hadith 422)
Friday is holy day of week in Islam. It has great importance for Muslims. Muslims observe congregation prayer in mosque on Friday which is also called Salat ul Jumah. In mosque there is special sermon from Imam of mosque before collective prayer. It is also observed as day of peace and mercy. We can call Friday as a celebration day because Muslim celebration is also incomplete without worship of Allah. Friday is called “King of all days” as it is superior than all other days of week.
Friday prayer is obligatory and all Muslims have consensus on this. It is one of distinctive feature of Islam. It provides Muslims to gather together, which is a symbol of unity and harmony. It has a wide range of social and community benefits in it. One must be very careful about Friday prayer because missing Friday prayer is a great sin.
By the support of the Qur’an, the Sunnah and the consensus of the Muslims, it is clear that Friday prayer is obligatory and of great importance. It is one of the distinctive features of Islam. A person who does not have faith in the obligatory status of the Friday and abandons it due to negligence without a genuine reason, becomes a sinner. The Qur’án says:
In this verse remembrance means the Friday Sermon and the congregational service, and hastening implies that one should make necessary preparations for it and attend the mosque promptly. This unusual stress throws light on the unique importance of the Friday Prayer.
Quran is book with incomparable Excellency. So one must handle Quran with care and following ettiquettes.
It is obligatory for each Muslim to memorize at least single verse from Quran. It is highly recommended to mrmorize at least one surah from Quran for every Muslim. It is also obligatory for a locality to have at least one Hafiz (a person who memorized whole Quran) whole Quran. This is speciality of Quran that it is the only book with is only not copied from pages to pages but it is also transferred from heart to heart. Even there are blind persons who learnt whole Quran by heart.
To forget Quran after memorizing it, is sin.
It is recommended to recite Quran by looking on it. Even if one have memorized Quran he or she should read it by seeing on Quran. This makes reader more close to Quran and reader gets more rewards by looking, touching and handling Quran.
Quran must be read in clean and pure places. It is not allowed to read Quran at dirty or impure places. Quran must be kept on cleaner and higher places in home. It is recommended to wrap Quran with piece of cloth to protect it from impurity.
One should not put his/her back towards Quran. It also discourged to direct legs towards Quran. It is also not allowed to site higher than the place (in room) where Quran is placed.
If a person is reading Quran and the verses are about punishment so reader should have feeling repentenace and if the verses are about rewards and blessings from Allah so reader should read it with joy.
If you have different books to arrange. Quran must be Kept above all books. If you have multiple copies of Quran. Place the Quran with out translation above follwed by Quran with translation. All Hadith books must be kept below the Quran (translated or untranlated copy) preferably in sequence Sahih Bukhari, Sahih Musli, Sunan Abi Dawood, At Tirmidhi, An nasai and Ibn Majah.

As a parent it is our responsibility to make our kids responsible and characterful Muslims. Parent are first example in front of kids, kids follow actions and conduct of their parent. It parent duty to educate kids not simply by telling them about good habit but they should act as responsible and characterful parents. According to Islam we’ll be subjected to questioning about those who are under our care. At least we are caretaker of kids so we will be held responsible for them.So it is our duty to up bring our kids in better way and teach them good manners. Here are some sole traits which we must develop in our kids.
The first and most important characteristic we must develop in our children is honesty. Some time parent are so strict that children are afraid of telling them their wrongdoings. So to escape from situation they find way in telling lie. As a parent we should give enough trust to our kids so that they can speak truth in all conditions and we should encourage them doing so.
Obedience is index trait of Muslims. We all Muslims are always very obedient to Our Allah Almighty. We must also develop this trait in our kids so that they can be obedient to Allah. We also make them obedient towards parents, teachers, elders and noble people. As a parent we should give our kids latitude but we also bound them in limit by enforcing obedience through proper rewards and sanctions.
We should teach our children respect for others and authority. Our kids must be very respectful to all religions, cultures and beliefs. They way we up bring our children is reflected in their conduct. The more we be respectful and mannerly we will be able to see these qualities in our kids too.
We should start giving responsibility too our kids in young age. We can develop their interest in performing small tasks and chores in the home and we should encourage them for their work. This will create maturity and confidence in kids to take up responsibilities. With the age our kids will be maintaining their selves, taking care of their possessions and they will grow up more disciplined and responsible.
Among the courtesies and good manners politeness is best reflection of a refined character. We should teach our kids the Islamic way of greeting, expressing gratitude, speaking manners and dealing manners. We must be very concerned about
It is common courtesies and good manners towards others that set apart a refined character and an intolerable personality. By teaching our children how to greet, express gratitude, how to speak to adults and even to leave alone matters that do not concern them, we would have given them a key to the door of inter-personal relations.
We often get confused to demarcate between frienldiness with strangers and and caution. If we will teach our students not to speak with stranger they will never get confidence to become socialbe. We need to make them sociable when needed. Abu Dharr Radhi-Allahu anhu reported that the Prophet Mohammed Sallallahu alayhi wasallam said:
Learn Quran Academy can help your children learn moral values from qualified staff. Our staff teaches Quran and as a part of general conduct, they help students with Quranic moral standards.
Quranic teaching can naturally help your children learn the moral values as you have seen above. Since our academy ensures all the teachers adhere to the highest moral values themselves, it is only natural that such values will be passed on.
Islam is a religion of Peace, Protection and Belief. Islam started its journey with obeying Allah. And Sacrifice is the most important fact of Islam. So in this regard, we have a lot of examples like Islam is saturated with the Islamic month of Muharam which is having a great sacrifice of the Family of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). The 10th of Muharam is called “Asshura”. That is a very important day in the history of Islam. Even in Quran, Allah has discussed this month as well.
Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) had also observed the Fast at the day of Ashura as well. And after the Ramadan Fast of Ashura is the most significant. In the book of Hadith Muslim it is narrated that:
Actually, this month give the message of sacrifice and prosperity, the great Martyard of Hazart Imam Hussain (R.A) tells him how to live and auspicious life in manners of Islam, they tell us how to obey Allah, even his head was on narrow but he still says LAILLAH, he tells us how to offer prayer properly. Even in the field of battle after getting 70 dead bodies of his loving companions and family members he never left the Prayer. He was circled by the enemies, but still he offer prayer, he bend in front of Allah and that was his last prayer……..
So we should also get a lesson from that Martyard, from that sacrifice, from that Ibadat, from that respect, from that Prospeirty, we should get lesson from the family of prophet Mohammad(PBUH). Unfortunately, today we forgot our origin, we forgot how to live the life according to the norm and values of Islam, we read Quran, but just as a formality, we offer prayer just for our satisfaction that we are Muslims, we believe in prophet Mohammad (PBHU) but we are not following the message of him. And that is the main reason that Muslims are backward in the whole world. So we have to rise up again we have to show the world that yes, we have the spirit of a Muslim, we have the power to encounter anything which is against the values of Islam, we have to get a lesson from the sacrifice of this MUharam..
May Allah show us the right path and give us the strength to follow the message of Muharm and to respect the days of Muharam.(Ameen)
Allah is the most beneficial and merciful. Although one of his characteristics is Qahar (most angry) but in the Quran, Allah has reveled countless a lot of verses in which he shows that he is Raheem, Kareem, merciful, Forgiver, Ghafoor, Aziz and a lot. Allah loves his creation a lot, even Allah never put a burden to anyone more than his/her capacity. Allah loves Humans more than seventy time of a mother. Here you can assume the love of a mother. How deeply she loves to her kids, even she never sleeps when there is a problem with any of her children. So how it is possible that Allah can harm us when he has created us by himself. How is it possible that He will punish us.? How is it possible that he will send us to Hell (Jahanam)?
So we have a way that Allah tells us to avoid the sins, to seek forgiveness , to go into Jannah(Jannat). And that way is Astagfar. In this regard, I will coat an incident:
“ Once the great scholar and the theologian (Iman Ahmad bin Hambal) he traveled from his town to another town. There he stayed in a mosque because he didn’t know anyone. When the prayer of Isaah was ended Imam tried to take a rest, but the caretaker of the mosque told him that no old man you are not allowed to stay in the mosque. So he took him out of the mosque. One baker in front of the mosque was looking all this he feel pity for that old man. He brought him in his home. So at night, Imam Ahmad stayed there. In the morning Amnad bin Hanbal asked the baker that I noticed you was doing Astagfar whole the night. So did you do all this time? Baker replied yes, I did.! Imam asked in reward of this Astagfar what you have got from Allah? Baker said that due to this Dua Allah accepted all my prayers and fulfill all of my wishes instead of this Dua.. Imam asks what was that day? Baker replied that I ask Allah that it’s my wish to meet Imam Ahmad bin Hanbal, he is a great scholar, I have heard about him a lot and I wish to meet him. Imam then smiled and replied your that Dua is also accepted I am Ahmad bin Hanbal.”
(Al Jumuah magazine, vol 19, issue 7)
“Subhan Allah” So here you see that how blissful those people was… question is that why??? We also do worship like those people, we also do Astagfar, we also do fasting, but why our prayers are incomplete..???
The answer is that we have lost that spirit, we lost the origin of Islam, we do all the good deeds just as a formality.. Today, if we follow the message of the Quran and Hadith with full attention to the core of our heart, then defiantly Allah will accept our prayers, our Dua’s, our good deeds.. And if we need help the definitely Angels will come to help us and Allah will bless us. Just need to focus on our origin and to bend in front of Allah with true Heart. May Allah show us the right path and give us strength to do Astagfar.(Ameen)
